Pop superstar Jessie J reveals early breast cancer diagnosis

Jessie J reveals being diagnosed with breast cancer; says she’ll undergo surgery after her June 15 performance at the Summertime Ball in London.

Malungkot ang mga tagahanga ng British singer-songwriter na si Jessie J, 37, matapos nitong isapubliko na mayroon siyang matinding pinagdaraanan sa kalusugan.

Ngayong Miyerkules, June 4, 2025, nag-upload ng video si Jessie J sa Instagram para ibalitang na-diagnose siyang may “early breast cancer.”

Ayon sa hellodoctor.com, ang breast cancer ay isa sa pinakakaraniwang uri ng cancer sa mga kababaihan.

Sa 2018 data ng Global Cancer Observatory, ang breast cancer ay ikatlo sa may pinakamataas na mortality rate, kasunod ng lung at liver cancer, sa Pilipinas.

Sinasabi rin ng mga eksperto na ito ang “deadliest cancer” sa mga kababaihan.

JESSIE J says she was diagnosed with early breast cancer

Inilahad ng singer sa kanyang video post na dumaan siya sa ilang medical tests bago nakumpirmang siya ay may early breast cancer.

Bagamat hindi pa masyadong malala ang cancer na dumapo sa kanya, pinili raw ni Jessie J na ito’y agapan sa pamamagitan ng pagpapaopera.

Saad niya sa video: “I was diagnosed with early breast cancer.

“I’m highlighting the word ‘early.’

“Cancer sucks in any form but I’m holding on to the word ‘early.’

“I have been in and out of tests throughout this whole period.

“I just wanted to be open and share it, one, because selfishly I do not talk about it enough.”

Nagdesisyon daw si Jessie J. na isapubliko ang kanyang kondisyon dahil sa ngayon ay hindi pa niya ito lubos na maproseso.

Naniniwala raw ang singer na sa pamamagitan nito ay unti-unti niya itong matanggap at makakuha ng suporta at lakas sa mga nagmamahal sa kanya.

Sabi niya: “I’m not processing it because I’m working so hard.

“I also know how much sharing in the past has helped me with other people, giving me their love and support and also their own stories.

Paglilinaw ni Jessie J, bago pa man niya malamang may cancer siya ay nagawa na niya ang dalawang kanta.
