Christopher de Leon’s wife, Sandy Andolong, revealed that their marriage was once tested by difficult circumstances.

Sandy Andolong and Christopher de Leon have been together for over 40 years, but their journey as husband and wife hasn’t always been easy.

In a recent interview on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda this past Tuesday, actress Sandy Andolong admitted that she once left her husband, Christopher de Leon.

“There was a time I left him. We had two boys at that time — Rafael and Miguel. I left the house because it felt chaotic. It was too much already. It was starting to have a really bad effect on our two children at that time. So I left Christopher,” Sandy confessed.

She added that Christopher was surprised to find out she was gone when he returned home.

Sandy shared that during her time away, she stayed at a convent for a week to pray and seek guidance and direction from God.

“We attended an LSS (Life in the Spirit Seminar) together because he kept telling me, ‘No, I want this to work. I don’t want to lose you. I don’t want to lose the boys. I want to have a complete family,’ because he comes from a broken family, and I came from a broken family too. I had an absentee father at that time. So we joined the Oasis of Love. That’s when things finally settled down,” Sandy recounted.

Christopher de Leon and Sandy Andolong have been a couple since the 1980s and officially got married in 2001. They renewed their vows in 2019 in Halong Bay, Vietnam.

They have five children together: Rafael, Miguel, Gabriel, Mariel, and Mica.
